Hello, I’m Katherine Foldes ( Kathy).  Although I wrote extensively during my professional career, now I get to write about my passion. And it’s quite different.  I get to talk about the most important part of our lives- our families, our children. I know that there are a lot of parents out there, and my husband and I were among them, who wanted to have a close-knit family. It’s getting harder and harder to accomplish this, isn’t it? It’s also harder and harder to stay in the middle ground as parents–to be somewhere between helicopter parents and hands-off parents. What my family found that worked is what I want to share with you–Family Meetings. And not just any old family meeting, but one that builds the family circle, that creates closeness over time and that gives kids a say in their family life.
